How food estimates work.

Log a meal with a photo or a few words and EvrFit gives you calories and macros to start from. You always check them before anything is saved.

  1. Snap or describe

Take a photo of your plate, or type what you ate. Either one works.

  2. EvrFit finds the items

It spots each food and drink on the plate, then sizes up the portions.

  3. The numbers get matched

Each item is matched to our food catalog, so you get calories, protein, carbs, fibre and fat.

  4. You check and log

Change any quantity, switch between home-cooked and restaurant, or search for anything it missed.

Why it's an estimate

A photo can't show everything. Oil in the pan, sauces, hidden ingredients and how deep the bowl is all change the numbers, and restaurant meals vary the most. Treat the result as a good starting point, then adjust it if it looks off.

For a better result

  • Take the photo in good light.
  • Keep the whole plate in the frame.
  • Mention anything hidden, like extra oil or a sauce.
  • Choose Restaurant if the meal wasn't home-cooked.
  • For packaged food, scan the label. It reads the numbers printed on the pack.

Your photo

Your photo is used for that one request. It isn't saved to your food log and it is never used to train AI.

Good to know

Estimates are for everyday wellness tracking, not medical decisions. If you manage a condition, check the numbers that matter with your doctor or dietitian.
